Mwangaza Watch
What we produce

Mwangaza Watch transforms publicly available information into traceable briefings, analysis-ready datasets, and commissioned intelligence products across six human security domains. Public briefings are open. Datasets and tailored analysis are available through partnership.

Why we exist

We exist to illuminate human security risk for public benefit and for our partners.

We exist to illuminate human security risk for public benefit through our open briefings, and through tailored commissioning projects with our partners. We do this by transforming public information into structured intelligence that can be used to understand patterns, assess risk, and support decisions.

Public information already contains critical signals about human security. It is fragmented, it lacks structure, and it is difficult to analyse over time. Mwangaza Watch addresses this by converting dispersed information into structured intelligence.

Our story and methodology →
The problem
Public information about human security is fragmented, lacks structure, and is difficult to analyse over time
The approach
Systematic monitoring of public sources, extraction of defined indicators, conversion into structured datasets, standardisation, validation, and pattern analysis
The output
Traceable intelligence that supports analysis, risk assessment, programme decisions, and policy development — all outputs traceable to original sources
Africa's intelligence infrastructure

Making public information usable for human security decisions

Mwangaza Watch is building the structured intelligence layer that Africa's human security ecosystem needs. We produce open source intelligence products that enable development organisations, private sector actors, research institutions, and policy bodies to make better-informed decisions.
